About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Trade Marketing professional to lead and manage trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive sales at retail locations. This role will be responsible for developing promotional campaigns, managing trade marketing budgets, and executing in-store initiatives that strengthen product placement and market competitiveness.
The role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales Operations, Marketing, Retailers, and Distributors to ensure trade marketing programs are effective, on-budget, and aligned with business strategy.
What you will do
- Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive sales at retail locations.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Marketing teams to create promotional campaigns tailored to specific markets and customers.
- Develop annual trade marketing budgets based on sales forecasts, promotional activities, and market trends.
- Plan, execute, and monitor trade marketing budgets to ensure effective and efficient use of funds in promoting products at the retail level.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
- Manage the execution of in-store promotions, merchandising, and point-of-sale (POS) materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Build and maintain relationships with key retailers and distributors to maximize product placement and visibility.
- Prepare regular reports on trade marketing performance and provide insights to senior management.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, or a related role within the consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to make informed business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong consumer insight.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams and functions.
- Solid business acumen and commercial awareness.
