Product Development Lead
We are looking for a Product Development Lead who understands beauty market trends, consumer needs, and product innovation, with the ability to turn insights into commercially relevant products.
This role will lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept and formulation to packaging and commercialization, while working closely with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners to deliver successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor local and global beauty trends, consumer preferences, competitor products, and emerging ingredients to identify new product opportunities.
• Translate consumer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis into innovative and commercially relevant product concepts, including new SKUs, reformulations, and line extensions.
• Lead end-to-end product development from concept, formulation, sampling, testing, packaging, BPOM/halal registration, to commercialization.
• Develop product briefs covering target consumers, positioning, product benefits, claims direction, competitive benchmarks, and target cost.
• Collaborate closely with R&D labs, OEM/ODM partners, packaging suppliers, QC/QA, Creative, Marketing, E-commerce, and other relevant teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
• Manage product development timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects are executed effectively and launched on schedule.
• Prepare product concepts, development updates, market insights, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and management.
• Stay updated on beauty industry trends, consumer behavior, product innovation, and market developments to continuously identify opportunities for product portfolio growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any major, preferably in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in beauty or cosmetic product development, particularly in personal care.
• Strong understanding and interest in beauty products, consumer trends, market dynamics, and product innovation.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end product development projects and managing cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working with OEM/ODM partners, manufacturing partners, and external laboratories is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to translate consumer insights, market data, product reviews, and competitive analysis into actionable product recommendations.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
