PERSOL Indonesia is currently assisting one of our clients in Japanese company in finding great talent as a Procurement and Logistic Assistant Manager with the requirement as follows:

Working location: Jakarta

Job Responsibility:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO), vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Process and monitor Purchase Orders (PO) to ensure timely procurement of goods and services required for business operations.
• Handle import shipment processes, coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth import transactions.
• Manage vendor relationships, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service agreements to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
• Monitor procurement spending and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, including PO creation, goods receipt verification, invoice reconciliation, and payment coordination.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Warehouse, Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless procurement and logistics activities.
• Analyze procurement and logistics performance, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Monitor inventory requirements and support supply planning to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Logistics, preferably with exposure to import transactions.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, sourcing, and contract negotiation.
• Hands-on experience in handling import shipments and international procurement activities.
• Solid knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Strong commercial awareness with good cost analysis and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar systems is an advantage).
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
