SHE Coordinator
1. SHE Leadership & Governance
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety, Health, and Environment Management System.
- Develop and execute SHE objectives, programs, and action plans aligned with business priorities.
- Promote a proactive SHE culture through employee engagement, safety leadership, and visible field presence.
- Facilitate SHE Committee meetings, management reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Regulatory & Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational safety, environmental, and health regulations.
- Maintain required licenses, permits, certifications, and regulatory submissions.
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and external stakeholders on SHE-related matters.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.
3. Workplace Safety Management
- Lead site risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and hazard identification programs.
- Develop and monitor corrective and preventive actions to mitigate safety risks.
- Drive behavioral safety programs and contractor safety management activities.
- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems and high-risk work controls.
4. Fire Protection & Emergency Response
- Develop and maintain fire prevention and protection programs.
- Oversee inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems, including hydrants, sprinklers, fire pumps, alarms, and portable extinguishers.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning, drills, and crisis response activities.
- Ensure site readiness for fire, chemical, environmental, and other emergency situations.
5. Environmental Management & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and company standards.
- Manage environmental monitoring programs covering wastewater, emissions, waste management, and pollution prevention.
- Coordinate PROPER requirements and environmental reporting to government systems, including SIMPEL, SPEED, and AMDALNET.
- Support sustainability initiatives, environmental performance improvements, and carbon reduction programs.
6. Incident Investigation & Risk Management
- Lead the reporting, investigation, and analysis of incidents, near misses, environmental events, and unsafe conditions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Track and report SHE performance indicators and trends.
7. Training & Competency Development
- Develop and deliver SHE induction, awareness, and competency programs.
- Ensure employees and contractors receive appropriate SHE training and certifications.
- Coach managers and supervisors in SHE leadership and compliance responsibilities.
8. Contractor & Operational SHE Support
- Ensure contractors comply with company SHE requirements before and during project execution.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Support operational teams in integrating SHE requirements into daily activities and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Safety, Health, and Environment within manufacturing, processing, chemical, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
- Proven experience in workplace safety, environmental compliance, incident investigation, emergency response, and contractor safety management.
- Prior experience leading SHE programs across multi-disciplinary operations is preferred.
- Have certifications in AK3 Umum, SMK3 Internal Auditor, ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Internal Auditor, Fire Safety Certification is highly preferred.
