QA Engineer / Product Tester ( Part-Time )

Shopindy is looking for a QA Engineer / Product Tester to help ensure our SaaS e-commerce platform is reliable, secure, and easy to use for merchants and customers. You will be responsible for testing key product flows, finding bugs before release, documenting issues clearly, and working closely with the product and engineering team to improve overall product quality.

Responsibilities

• Test Shopindy’s merchant dashboard, storefront, checkout, customer account, and platform admin flows
• Create and execute manual test cases for new and existing features
• Perform regression testing before release
• Identify, document, and report bugs clearly with screenshots, videos, steps to reproduce, and expected results
• Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved
• Test critical flows such as registration, login, product creation, cart, checkout, payment, shipping, order status, and billing
• Check UI consistency, responsiveness, and mobile usability
• Collaborate with developers to clarify bugs and expected behavior
• Help improve product quality, reliability, and user experience
• Maintain testing documentation and release checklists

Requirements

• 1–3 years experience in QA, software testing, product testing, or related roles
• Good understanding of web application testing
• Able to write clear bug reports and test scenarios
• Detail-oriented and careful when testing user flows
• Familiar with testing on desktop and mobile browsers
• Good communication skills and able to work with developers
• Able to understand business logic and user behavior
• Organized, responsible, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment

Good to Have

• Experience testing SaaS, e-commerce, marketplace, or payment-related systems
• Basic understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL/database checking
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
• Experience using project management or bug tracking tools
• Understanding of UX, responsive design, and mobile-first testing
• Familiarity with Laravel, Next.js, or modern web applications
