Job Summary
The Cloud Consultant / Presales is responsible for understanding customers' business and technical requirements, designing the most suitable cloud solutions, and providing technical support throughout the sales cycle. This role acts as a bridge between the Sales, Delivery, and Technical teams to ensure the proposed solutions are technically feasible, commercially competitive, and aligned with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement

• Collaborate with the Sales team to identify customer requirements and business objectives.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand customers' technical and business challenges.
• Provide consultative guidance on Cloud Infrastructure, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Backup, Disaster Recovery, and other IT solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, technology partners, and vendors.

2. Solution Design

• Design end-to-end cloud and infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD), solution architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, licensing recommendations, and cost estimation.
• Recommend secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry best practices.

3. Technical Presales Support

• Serve as the technical advisor throughout the sales process.
• Deliver solution presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Concept (PoC) sessions.
• Respond to technical inquiries from customers and support technical discussions during negotiations.
• Work closely with the Sales team to develop winning technical strategies for customer opportunities.

4. Proposal & Documentation

• Prepare technical proposals, Statements of Work (SoW), Bills of Quantity (BoQ), and implementation plans.
• Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered within agreed timelines.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers, Network Engineers, Security Engineers, Delivery Teams, and Project Managers to ensure solution feasibility.
• Conduct project handover sessions to the implementation team after project closure.
• Provide technical guidance during project implementation when required.

6. Product & Technology Development

• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, and security solutions.
• Provide feedback to Product Management regarding customer requirements and market trends.
• Support the development of new service offerings and technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Presales, Cloud Consulting, Solution Architecture, or Cloud Engineering.
• Experience working in a Cloud Service Provider (CSP), Managed Service Provider (MSP), Data Center, or System Integrator environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
